The ancient Pagans worshiped many gods and goddesses. When Christianity came along they felt that these "ignorant Pagans" were at risk of eternal damnation so they tried to save them.
A church was almost always built near or on top of a previously Pagan worship site. This is the case with this new discovery as well. The archaeologists may have uncovered the first place Christmas was ever celebrated... check out the article-it's really neat!
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule/Saturnalia, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other winter holiday, we at Soma Space Coaching wish you happiness, and wellness now and always!
