SEX: China Bans Ads for Sex Toys, Bras, and Sexy Undies

Read the above article (click on the headline "SEX: China Bans...) and lets talk about it. China is putting it's foot down about any type of sexy advertising, including the advertising of tonics that enhance sexual performance. Here in the USA we find advertisements for all kinds of bras, underwear, Viagra and several other erection medications and my very favorite (NOT) feminine deodorant products.

I always tell my Human Sexuality students that vaginas should not have an offensive odor. If they smell funny, someone needs to get some soap and water working OR they've got an infection. In neither case mentioned above should a douche or deodorant spray EVER be used. The vagina has a very delicate balance of natural, healthy flora. Petunia scented vag-wash destroys that balance and may cause YEAST INFECTIONS... if you want to have a bad day try a yeastie on for size!

If I wasn't all about the First Amendment, I'd like a ban on these products. Little boys and girls who see these commercials grow up to think that women's privates are raunchy and vile places.

What I'd really like to see a commercial for is a nice testicle freshener... "Nut-Fresh" or perhaps "Peen Purifier"... Until that time, I wish we'd remove the offensive products off the TV or minimally educate our young women about the facts and dispel the myths.

Keep the PECKER word and get over it already-China can ban the ads for sex toys, bras and sexy undies-and maybe just ONCE the US should follow-and yes I did say KEEP the word PECKER

Well I for one would enjoy one late night free of seeing middle aged men dancing it up at some night club on a 4am infomercial. Like women are really attracted to men who use penis cream!

Your right... it's kind of sexist to make a vagina out to be this "smelly nasty" area. Many men always talk crap and say "oh, pussy's smell like fish" and random ABSURD stuff like that. But here women don't say anything about the penis. Maybe it's becuase we as women are more mature then many men...I don't know...just a suggestion :)

I totally agree with april b! You rarely, if ever, hear a woman complain about sweaty balls! They need to just grow up and get over the smell. As long as its natural and doesn't have an infection they need to man up and deal with it. Otherwise, they shouldn't be having sex in any form!

I agree with April B. and the other girl...enough with these commercials saying that girls private parts smell. That commercial about the fresh-n-up cream really bothers me. I think it is offensive to women, saying that it smells and needs to be "freshened up." Guys stuff can smell too. They just don't want to admit it. I think we should just realize that they can both smell and move on. If it is has a weird smell or doesn't look normal then go to the doctor, otherwise it's normal and naural.

OK...couple things...1.I,myself think it is ridiculous that China has banned these ads. I do understand they have a completly different government system and they live very different lifestyles and have different beliefs than Americans, however when it comes down to it the human body is a very natural thing. We aren't born with clothes on!! If God or evolution (whichever you may beleive in) wanted us to cover up all the time they would have had us come out of the womb covered in a blanket....So I personally think we should embrace our bodies and sex appeal. I am not saying strut down times square naked, or air Viagra ads during Dora the Explorer but I don't think a Victoria's Secret ad in the midst of prime time viewing is hurtin anyone to badly!....2. to add on to the general consensus about the douches...Who ever created those is a real (for lack of a better term) "Douchebag"...
