ROCK n ROLL: Ugh, Sometimes It's Just Hard To Care

I just have to say that I'm sick of hearing about that PHYLO Britney and her crappy parenting skills (and her horrid music). I wouldn't know a Britney song if it bit me in my big white arse but I sure know too much about her life.

Then I hear the Spice Girls sold out in less than a minute... once again I just can't give a rat's roid...

ONTO Madonna got nominated for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. I'm not saying that she isn't talented or that I don't occasionally wiggle to "Vogue" in the privacy of my own home but since when is dance music Rock?

I'm much more interested in the new Caveman show based on the Geico TV Commercials. It was rather entertaining. Sapes? Keep your penis in your genus? That's classic stuff! LOL

That's the guy who plays ONTO Maurice. There is also ONTO Nick, PHYLO Andy, and EXO Joel.... great names for cave men!

I in no way want to condone Britney’s actions, and as far as the way the media portrays her, she does not seem suitable to be a parent, but I'm sick of everyone hating on her. She went into her music business being very sensitive, and completely naive about the world (as we see from her music), and then she met a douche bag and had his babies. So she made some mistakes. I mean it is a fun way to ignore our own faults, problems, and are past, but I just think that people need to lay off her. I think if paparazzi were following me around all day and trying to reveal my private life in magazines for everyone to read, I think I would go crazy to, especially under the current circumstances of her life. So now she has this who gives a F*** attitude which is whatever, until you bring kids into it, but I just don’t think that what we hear through unreliable news sources is enough to judge somebody’s character. But what do I know. What I do know is that before Britney Spears married trashy, she had The Britney Spears Foundation, which sponsored Britney Spears Camp, which I went to my freshman year of highschool. It was an amazing, free performing arts camp, and her and Steven Tyler actually came to it and spent time with us. That’s it.

I do agree the Britney Spears news got old before it started...But I have to admit when I was thirteen and she released her first album, actually even before that when she was on the Mickey Mouse Club, I was a real fan. She used to be down to earth and innocent. Unfortunately I think because she became such a phenomenon, the media became overly obessesive about what she does every second of the day. She was so young to be under the pressure of Hollywood. She wasn't given a real childhood or time to grow up so in a way I think it has caught up to her and she still needs to get all those stupid mistake driven years out of her system.... She seems so crazy, but the media has driven her over the edge. It is sad that with such success can come such hard downfalls. It is even more sad that her two kids have to grow up with all these issues, and live a life they probably would not have chose for themselves!!... Some people have enough self-esteem and support around them to handle the pressure, but few people deal with the amount of paparazzi constant stalking that she does, so I think she needs to be given a little credit for that. Yes, she has made a downward spiral of bad choices and she certainly needs medical help, but we should step back and see she is human, and people do make mistakes except it usually isn't highlighted every night on cheesy-celebrity news channels (Which I have to admit I watch so I am guilty myself of adding to the pressures)...ideally she needs to escape and fix her personal life before she attempts any public comeback, and I just hope she is given that chance without being swamped with press.....

just out of curiousity...we know now what ya don't like..what music do you like??

Kaitlin, mostly I like Rock, Alternative, some Metal, metal/rap hybrids (like Shootyz Groove), and a select few rappers. In high school, new wave was the sh*t! I totally love 70s music and I have some fun with the 80s stuff especially new wave. I also like Mozart when the mood strikes me. Pop and hip hop doesn't ring any bells with me at all. What about you?

I am sooooooooo sick and tired of hearing these celebrities names on my radio and t.v. They make me sick! Everyday they purposely make an ass out of themselves and have the nerve to say "I just want be treated like everyone else". Yeah right. Look at Paris Hilton, her whole happy, rich fantastic life was torn apart when she had to go jail. What the hell was she thinking when she was downing $1000 bottles of champagne at the time? Britney is just another nut case that needs to be locked away far from society. I have no pity on her. Shaving her head, coming outside with panties.........Go Mickey Mouse Club!!!What an example. Her fans are just as annoying as she is. However :),
If they share their riches with me, then maybe I'll join the fan club. Until then.......I rather not say :)

I have a passion for music, I listen to everything and anything, probably having the widest musical taste of anyone I know. This includes 60's 70's 80's many different styles from blues, to classical - hard rock to reggae.

I do however draw a line when it comes to pop, boy bands, rap and the like. These one hit wonders that generate everything on computer and have the audacity to call it "music". They are as musical as a pregnant Yak in Siberia. It is heavily edited, instrument-less crap.

Yet it appeals to the masses? How is it that something so fake and fabricated is adored by so many?

Music, in my world...is art. It is written, lyrics added, a variety of instruments used and practiced over and over and after endless hours, days, weeks, months even years of hard work the result is full of passion, life, emotion and character. And each work is almost unique.

You only need to look around at bands and artists that have been around for decades, to see what true musicians are, people who ooze it from every pore, with every breath they take. They talk it, they live it and will one day die with.

I had the privilege of seeing Metallica, an experience that will live with me forever. Guys that started at 17 / 18 and now around 50 can still send the masses into an absolute frenzy.

I also went to see Live, who's first songs I heard in 1994. 13 years on they are still churning out albums and I remember standing there 10 feet from the stage in absolute awe.

I look forward to Korn in March 2008.

Thats Music.
