Interestingly the article talks about how our sexual focus changes when we hit 25-30. Isn't that the age at which Dr. Mark says we get our adult brain? It's likely that we fall into a sexual routine by this age-the newness is gone. Perhaps we have some kids running around that we are dealing with.
How about in your 40s? The focus then is on career and getting the kids out of the house. Because the focus shifts in this direction, this is prime time for couples to drift apart...
And then you hit your 50s and another set of issues come up-or dont... Men tend to question their machismo as they may not have the rock hard erections they did in earlier years...

This is why Viagra is the powerhouse that it is. Did anyone mention that rare but scary little side effect of blindness? What good is an erection if you can't see where to put it?
Also in the 50s the likelihood of an empty nest is pretty high. Now you have to figure out how to be a couple again instead of Mom and Dad-your roles have changed dramatically!
