SEX: STDs on the RISE...Gonorrhea Superbug

WARNING: graphic and shocking photos below... STOP HERE if you are not 18 or if you are going to vomit on your computer screen if you see nasty, oozing photos... (Click on SEX: STDs on the RISE for the full article)

Once again we've got a serious issue in the USA... not only has Staph gone "superbug" but so has Gonorrhea...

I am always giving my students hell about protecting themselves if they are having sexual contact with others. I am very alarmed that almost NONE of the college students I've spoken with use protection during oral sex...

Still want to shove stuff in your mouth without thought?

Shall we discuss a few other lovely infections? Great idea Professor Val...

How about gonorrhea in the eye?

Yes, you can get it there..

What about a little primary syphilis?

More than ONE MILLION cases of Chlamydia were reported in our country last year. Want some of this? Keep up your risky sexual behaviors...

3/4 of all women who have Chlamydia have NO symptoms.

Tell me something-how will a condom stop you from catching this?

That is a right thigh and belly...

Perhaps you feel a handy is safe? No problem right? Hm.. how about this...

Yes, that's a finger with herpes...

So what have we learned here today?? That's right-SAFER sex is a must-and there is NO such thing as SAFE sex except masturbation...

Staying the F away from you sapes,

Professor Val

Wow...that's really gross and vile. Like Marcely said, I didn't know that you can get a STD on your finger. People after reading this should definitely be more careful and cautious. I know I will be.

I like to wrap myself in plastic wrap before engaging in any sexual acts. Not to prevent the STDs...I just like how it feels.

It's ridiculous how many young people engage in unsafe sexual practices. Hopefully these pictures serve as a slap in the face for the idiots of my generation...

That was BEYOND disgusting! I never knew you could get STD's anywhere on your skin! Disgusting! Full Body Body Condoms really should exist!

That could be about the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. It makes sense that you could get it numerous places. This is one of the main reasons I hate oral sex and really do not participate in casual sex. You never know!

Not gonna lie- like marcely, i had no idea that one could get STDs on nonsexual organs... those photos are absolutely repulsive to look at and will hopefully definitely make people think twice about engaging in sexual intercourse, or other practices sexually driven. people- make sure you know if your partner has an STD!!!!

Feel free to have unsafe sex, but you're risking all of this. But what happens if you both are virgins, and have never engaged in any sexual contact with anybody else? Are the risks still there? What if you have recent documented medical proof of your spouse not having even one STD? Are the risks still as high if both of you are clean? Can you develop one of these STDs just by having sex, clean or not?

There are more ways to protect yourself then just using a condom.

Hi Big K, No, you can not get a disease if everyone is clean. STIs come from either a bacteria or a virus. One of the people must have it in order to spread it. However, some people are born with sexually transmitted infections that they got from their parents. If a parent passes HIV or Herpes to the child, they will have it for life so virgin or not, they are infected.

Also, asking for a clean bill of health from a doctor is no guarantee that everyone is disease free. You could have a blood test and then in the time it takes to get the results, come in contact with an infected person.

Additionally, don't believe everyone who says they are a virgin-many lie...

i actually have gonorrhea on my testicular region, and my wife doesnt know about it, i dont want to tell her about it because i cheated on her with a hooker/her sister, but should i tell her i am infected and that she is probably infected as well? we are getting a divorce anyways but i think i should wait till after court. any advice?...she is now pregnant.

If you have an infection you better tell your wife-divorce or not. That illness can cause horrific problems in the fetus!

I ONLY have sex either from 5 foot away or with a full body wet suit.
Tin foil hats and DOUBLE up two layers of foil before sex.

I found out I have trichomoniasis, ironically my doctor didn't test me, he just looked at my penis but I'm afraid to go back because he runned a full std test and I'm afraid of having the hiv virus. I feel healthy just that I and almost unotisable red on my glans, I know exactly how I got this and It's been several years now.. but my penis doesn't itch like it did before.

anything I can do to get rid of this on my own?

Anonymous, you can refuse and HIV test (although I don't recommend it) so go back and let the doctor treat you-you can't fix it on your own.

I really like that u put those pics on the yur website.I think u need to be up close and personal when u talk about things like stds.
When I was in the 8th grade I had a sex ed class that was extremely graphic and I learned a lot from that class. Some things u jus can't sugar coat. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your kind feedback. I agree with you-glossy photos of what could happen to you can be quite effective!

I like that: "Handy".

I get a Handy every time I pass the TSA agents. And I don't see them changing condoms, err, gloves.
